Gears are widely used. Common cylindrical gear, bevel gear and worm gear and so on. Involute cylindrical gear is
the most widely used.
In cylindrical gears, the tooth orientation is parallel to the axis called spur gears; Helical gears with helical tooth
orientation. The tooth profile curve is usually involute.
In order to ensure the transmission quality of gear, the following requirements are put forward for gear processing:
(1)Accuracy of transmission movement -In order to ensure the accuracy of gear transmission speed ratio, it
should be required that the error of the inner rotation Angle of the gear should not exceed the allowable value.
Therefore, in gear processing, the teeth should be uniform.
(2)The smooth transmission of the so-called smooth transmission, refers to the vibration and noise is small, the
(3)impact is small. Therefore, the manufacturing error of local tooth profile should be limited to limit the variation
of instantaneous speed ratio.
(4)the uniformity of load distribution - in order to avoid tooth surface stress concentration, local wear, affect the
service life.
(5)Tooth side clearance -refers to the gear pair in the working state, there should be a certain gap between
the non-working tooth surface, in order to compensate the processing and installation error of the
gear, compensatefor the thermal deformation, to ensure that the gear can free rotation and storage lubricating
oil. The clearance is determined by the working conditions. During manufacturing, gear tooth thickness is
controlled to obtain.
